A long and absolutely unique story, that of the Bar La Tranquilla, founded in 1945 by the “Banda di Grottoli”, group of boys who, after the Second World War, decided to create a club that was also a meeting place in Asciano. Today, almost eighty years later, La Tranquilla is managed by Roberto Chiovoloni and continues to be a reference point for the social life of the city. A large outdoor garden furnished with tables and veranda offers a pleasant location in summer. Here it’s possible to eat breakfasts, sandwiches, ice cream, but also pasta dishes. The product and recipes are typical of the area, from local cold cuts to meat sauces. Among the specialties of the restaurant there is also and especially pizza, served at the table or take away.
