Ristorante 1260

The restaurant “1260” is located in the complex of the Monteaperti Hotel Siena, a 4-star hotel located in Casanova Pansarine, a few kilometers before entering the Crete Senesi. The kitchen combines traditional Tuscan dishes with the most refined flavors in a location with a modern and colorful design, where good food is at home.  All this, using only fresh and seasonal products, accompanied by a selection of local wines.

Why the name 1260? This is the date on which, precisely in these areas, centuries ago, the famous Battle of Monteaperti was fought in which the Ghibelline troops headed by Siena and the Guelph troops with Florence faced each other. The winner was the Republic of Siena, which since then, for a few years, enjoyed a predominant role not only in Tuscany, but also internationally.
